Pembina Consumers Co-op (2000) Ltd is a dynamic and growing Co-operative operating within a large trading area in southwestern Manitoba. The current year’s projected sales volume is in excess of $140 million dollars consisting of agricultural inputs and equipment, R-T-M new home construction, home and building supplies, general merchandise products, bulk fuel, cardlocks, and food.

We are currently inviting applications for the position of CONTROLLER.

Based out of the Administration Office located in St. Leon, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following Administration and
Operational functions:

  • Provide leadership to a team of approximately 10 direct reports in the Administration Department
  • Preparation and analysis of all financial statements and accounting related reports
  • To oversee the administration of credit
  • To manage cash flow, member equity, and all other balance sheet items
  • To lead the annual budget process
  • To assist with the business planning process
  • To assist with all long-term planning and forecasting
  • To implement, monitor, and refine currently established systems for internal controls
  • To be an active participant in the ERM process
  • To provide guidance, leadership, and operational support to the organization’s team members consisting of approximately 170 individuals in 22 cost centre locations

Reporting to the Finance & Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will have an extensive accounting background, a Commerce Degree with a major in Accounting or Finance, and a professional accounting designation. In order to be successful in this position, the candidate must also:
